Dear Argo Families,

Next week, from May 5th to May 9th, is the Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week, a special time to honor the dedicated teachers and staff who play a vital role in shaping the lives of our students. Argo PTA invites you to a week-long celebration dedicated to expressing our gratitude for our incredible teachers and staff.

Our teachers and staff go above and beyond every day to ensure our students receive the best education and support possible. It's time for us to show them just how much we appreciate their hard work, dedication, and the impact they have on our school, students, and community.

Here's how you can participate in making this week memorable:

  • Monday, May 5th - Bring a flower from your garden to brighten their day.
  • Tuesday, May 6th - Share a warm embrace with a hug and/or fist bump to express your gratitude.
  • Wednesday, May 7th - Wear your teacher's favorite color as a thoughtful gesture.
  • Thursday, May 8th - Bring in student-made artwork such as cards or drawings to showcase our appreciation.
  • Friday, May 9th- Treat our teachers and staff with prepackaged goodies to sweeten their day.

Join us in making this week truly special for our teachers and staff. Your participation will make a world of difference in showing them just how much they mean to us.

SARATOGA EDUCATION FOUNDATION (SEF)

There is still time to donate to SEF! Together, we can make a lasting impact on our students and the community. Please consider contributing so that we can reach our goal of raising $500,000. Review our latest newsletter to learn more about the budget and the programs that SEF plans to support. 

🥞 SARATOGA MUSIC BOOSTERS (SMB) - PANCAKE BREAKFAST

Join us for the funnest & yummiest fundraiser of the year—the Pancake Breakfast! Don’t miss out on a morning filled with delicious freshly flipped pancakes, served with butter, syrup, sausages, fresh strawberries, and drinks like orange juice, milk, coffee, and tea. Enjoy live music performances while supporting a great cause!

🅿️NEW TRAFFIC LAW: DAYLIGHTING

The Sheriff’s Office is asking us to help spread the word about California's new "daylighting" law, which is now in effect. This new law aims to improve pedestrian safety near schools and all intersections by prohibiting parking within 20 feet of any crosswalk (or 15 feet if there's a curb extension). This rule applies to both marked and unmarked crosswalks, regardless of painted curbs or signs, and is intended to increase visibility for drivers and pedestrians. Please be mindful of this new regulation when dropping off or picking up students to ensure the safety of our children and community. Learn more about California's new "daylighting" law.
