💐 STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK

Join the Argo PTA for a week of appreciation! Let's show our teachers and staff how much we value their dedication. Different classes are providing daily breakfast and lunch. 

• Thursday, 5/8 - Bring in student-made artwork such as cards or drawings to showcase our appreciation.
• Friday, 5/9 - Treat our teachers and staff with prepackaged goodies to sweeten their day.

🧺 SPRING PICNIC & 4TH PTA MEETING

Our Spring Picnic is this Friday, 5/9! Food, games, face painting… but most importantly, FRIENDS! Visit the PTA website for full details about food and activities. Sign up here to volunteer.

📚🎁 BIRTHDAY BOOK CLUB 🥳

The deadline to place an order to join the May, June, July celebration is Thursday, 5/15. The Birthday Book Club Celebration is scheduled for Thursday, 522!  Check your email for the invitation. Head to Birthday Book Club to find out more and signup to volunteer.

👟 GIRLS ON THE RUN - CELEBRATION 5K 🏅

Eight Argo Bears have been training for 10 weeks leading up to a 5k on Saturday, 5/17. Join them as they complete their celebration 5k on Saturday, 5/17 at Vasona Park.  Register here.  Find out more about Argo Girls on the Run on the PTA website.

🧾REIMBURSEMENT DEADLINE EXTENDED

The deadline to get reimbursed for PTA related expenses has been extended to Friday, 5/23. Requests submitted after that will not be reimbursed. Visit https://www.argonautpta.org/reimbursement for details and paperwork.

🍽️ ARGO DINES OUT - SHAKE SHACK 🍔

Wednesday, 5/28 from 10:30a-10:00p, join us at Shake Shack at Westgate to eat, connect, and make a difference! 25% of the proceeds will come back directly to Argo PTA.

The Argo PTA has reached 91% of our annual fundraising goal! Your tax-deductible $195 per student Just Do It donation directly supports vital programs and events for our students at Argonaut. Donate here, then 2x or 3x your donation with company match!

The Argonaut PTA is 100% volunteer run organization.  Volunteering enriches students' school experiences and gives parents a chance to build friendships and community connections. We encourage you to join in and look forward to collaborating with you this school year! Without your help, many of our events wouldn't be possible.

SARATOGA EDUCATION FOUNDATION (SEF)

There is still time to donate to SEF! Together, we can make a lasting impact on our students and the community. Please consider contributing so that we can reach our goal of raising $500,000. Review our latest newsletter to learn more about the budget and the programs that SEF plans to support. 

🅿️NEW TRAFFIC LAW: DAYLIGHTING

The Sheriff’s Office is asking us to help spread the word about California's new "daylighting" law, which is now in effect. This new law aims to improve pedestrian safety near schools and all intersections by prohibiting parking within 20 feet of any crosswalk (or 15 feet if there's a curb extension). This rule applies to both marked and unmarked crosswalks, regardless of painted curbs or signs, and is intended to increase visibility for drivers and pedestrians. Please be mindful of this new regulation when dropping off or picking up students to ensure the safety of our children and community. Learn more about California's new "daylighting" law.
